The Las Vegas Raiders have continued to keep everyone guessing with their quarterback decisions, and Wednesday was no exception.

Head coach Antonio Pierce announced that Gardner Minshew will remain the starting quarterback, despite reports earlier in the week suggesting that Desmond Ridder might take over for Week 11. Ridder had stepped in for Minshew during the second half of the team’s Week 9 loss to Cincinnati.

After using their bye week to consider the options, the Raiders decided to stick with Minshew, who currently holds a 2-5 record as a starter this season, with eight interceptions against six touchdowns. Many assumed the Raiders might try out Ridder, who was signed from the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad on Oct. 22, to see if he could bring a fresh approach.

With Aidan O’Connell sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a hand injury, the choice remains between Minshew and Ridder. The Raiders, now on a five-game losing streak, are heading to Miami to face the Dolphins in Week 11. Although the team insists they are not tanking, it may not make much difference at this point.
