The Las Vegas Raiders are set to face the Miami Dolphins this Sunday following their bye week. Struggles on offense have led the team to make staffing changes in hopes of revitalizing their attack. Adding to the optimism, the Raiders are also welcoming back a key player, and head coach Antonio Pierce is thrilled about it.

Tight end Michael Mayer is set to return to action this week after missing time for undisclosed personal reasons. Mayer has appeared in just three games this season but is expected to complement rookie standout Brock Bowers effectively. Pierce expressed his excitement about Mayer’s return during a recent interview.

“He looked good, had a little tan—I don’t know where he’s been, but he was somewhere nice,” Pierce joked. “He stayed here during the bye week, working out and getting back into football shape. He’s ready to go.”

Mayer’s return provides a much-needed boost to the Raiders’ offense as they prepare for the challenging matchup against Miami.
