The Indianapolis Colts have made several roster adjustments ahead of their upcoming game against the New York Jets:
Liam Anderson, a 6’3″, 226-pound linebacker, has been signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Anderson, who played in Week 7 against Miami, has spent this season on the Colts’ practice squad. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May 2023, Anderson appeared in one game as a rookie. At Holy Cross (2018-22), he played in 53 games (30 starts), tallying 231 tackles, 37.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and earning two First Team All-Patriot League selections.
Adam Gotsis, a 6’4″, 290-pound defensive tackle, was waived. Gotsis has played in 126 career games (54 starts) with the Colts, Jaguars, and Broncos. Drafted by Denver in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, he has accumulated 223 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, and 22 passes defensed.
Atonio Mafi, a 6’3″, 330-pound guard, has been elevated to the active roster. Signed to the Colts’ practice squad in August 2024, Mafi played all 17 games (five starts) with the Patriots in 2023 after being drafted in the fifth round out of UCLA.
Josh Sills, a 6’6″, 325-pound guard, has also been promoted from the practice squad. Sills joined the Colts after being claimed off waivers from the Eagles in 2023. He appeared in all 17 games for Indianapolis last season and debuted with Philadelphia as an undrafted rookie in 2022.
These moves aim to bolster the Colts’ depth as they prepare for Week 11.
