The New York Giants resumed practice after their bye week, with Kayvon Thibodeaux back on the field.
The third-year outside linebacker was designated to return from injured reserve, where he has been since October 12. Head coach Brian Daboll also revealed before Wednesday’s practice that the team signed tight end Jordan Murray to the practice squad.
Thibodeaux sustained a wrist injury during the Giants’ Week 5 win over Seattle and underwent surgery. In five games this season, he has recorded two sacks and seven quarterback hits. The Giants rank second in the NFL with 36 sacks, trailing only the Denver Broncos, who have 39 but have played one additional game.
The Giants have 21 days to activate Thibodeaux, with their next game scheduled against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
