The Las Vegas Raiders (2-8), currently on a six-game losing streak, face back-to-back AFC West divisional matchups as Thanksgiving approaches. Head coach Antonio Pierce’s team will first take on the Denver Broncos (6-5) and their No. 3-ranked defense this Sunday before traveling to Kansas City to face the 9-1 Chiefs on Black Friday. However, before fully shifting focus to Week 12, the NFL issued a ruling on star pass rusher Maxx Crosby, who failed to record a sack for the third consecutive game last week.

On Saturday, the NFL announced its disciplinary actions from Week 11, including two fines against Crosby: one for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) and another for unnecessary roughness (striking/kicking/kneeing) during the Raiders’ game against the Miami Dolphins. The three-time Pro Bowler was fined a total of $23,072 for the incidents, which occurred in the first quarter. Overall, the league handed out 19 fines in Week 11, the lowest total for a single week this season.

These penalties mark the third and fourth fines Crosby has received this season and the ninth and tenth of his six-year NFL career. Earlier this month, he was fined for a late hit on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Since entering the league in 2019, Crosby has accumulated over $150,000 in fines. Despite his recent sack drought, the 27-year-old defensive standout has 6.5 sacks through nine games and remains on pace for his fourth double-digit sack season. He set a career-high of 14.5 sacks in 2023.
