The Michigan Wolverines are aiming to make a significant splash in college football by attempting to secure the top recruit of the 2025 class. Michigan is pursuing the No. 1 player, a five-star quarterback already committed to a major SEC program, in hopes of changing his commitment. Speculation is growing as Michigan reportedly gains traction in their pursuit of this highly-ranked recruit, Bryce Underwood, from Belleville High School, who is currently committed to LSU.

According to On3.com’s Pete Nakos, Michigan is working on an impressive NIL deal as part of their pitch to Underwood. Head coach Sherrone Moore and his team have ramped up their efforts to secure the standout quarterback, with early National Signing Day only weeks away. Nakos reported on October 29 that Michigan re-engaged with Underwood’s family recently, putting forward a NIL package to rival LSU’s. Underwood, the nation’s top recruit and a sought-after quarterback, could command an NIL deal estimated at over $5 million across three to four years, regardless of his final choice of program.
