Kristaps Porzingis appears to be making solid progress in his rehab, as seen in a clip the Celtics’ X account shared of him practicing on the court before Wednesday’s game against the Nets. Captioned “Porzingis getting some work in pregame” with a double eyes emoji, the video hints that the star center may be nearing his return.

Porzingis had surgery in June to repair a torn medial retinaculum in his left leg, with an expected recovery timeline of five to six months.

“KP is lurking,” said NBC’s Celtics insider Chris Forsberg. “What he’s doing in warm-ups is similar to what we saw in the playoffs — maybe even a step further.”

Despite the leg injury he sustained in the first playoff round, Porzingis still managed to play 16 minutes in the NBA Finals against the Mavericks.

The 10-3 Celtics defeated the Nets on Wednesday night following a home loss to the Hawks on Tuesday. Porzingis has been traveling with the team during his recovery and attended both games.
